Character Design — Yogurt Packaging

A character design project created as part of an illustration course, exploring how shape, colour and personality can create memorable characters.

The project began with a 60-minute sketchbook exercise, where I created over 30 variations of one animal, experimenting with silhouettes, proportions, expressions and personalities.

From these sketches, I selected four characters to develop further, using colour and visual details to give each one a distinct personality. I later expanded the series with four additional characters inspired by different yogurt flavours, including coconut-pineapple, mango-peach, blackberry-raspberry and chocolate-bread.

The characters were also explored in a packaging context, showing how illustration and character design could become part of a playful and cohesive product identity.
