Mural of Malaca Instituto is winner work of international Malaca Flow and Art Graffiti 2016 competition. The contest is also the second phase of Flow and Art project, what begun in 2014. The competition was organized by the internationally recognized language school Malaca Instituto.
Mural of Malaca Instituto is black-white-gray timeline inspired by Guernica painting.
35-meter mural can be seen as brief summary of the history of Malaga and Andalusia. The mural begins with the Phoenicians the founders of the city, and continues with local cultural space influencers, such as the Greeks, Romans, Goths, Moors and Christians. Mural also depicts tradition of Semana Santa, painter Picasso and show us such historical places like Cathedral of Malaga, Roman amphitheater and Placa de la Merced. Mural is related to historical periods such 19th century and the Civil War. The Mural ends modern touristic views of Malaga and local food called Espeto (Grilled sardines).
The mural celebrates the 45 anniversary of Malaca Instituto. There is also story about mural in the Spanish language newspaper SUR.
