Rural Urban Art 2018 - Virr-Varr
Wall paint and spray cans on wall, 2018
Created during the Rural Urban Art Festival in Põlva, Estonia, as part of the Estonia 100 programme.
Virr-varr is inspired by my childhood memories of Põlva — a small, grey town that I imagined filled with colour.
The bright mural celebrates youth, courage, folklore and local nature, with the kingfisher as its central motif — a bird associated with Põlvamaa and the forests of Southern Estonia.
Location: Põlva, Estonia
